| In order to meet the growing demand of the business community with a special emphasis on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has established the DCCI Business Institute (DBI) with the financial and technical assistance of GTZ, the German Technical Cooperation.

| The Institute also conducts a number of seminars / workshops / symposiums on various business related issues, following day-to-day developments on the national as well as the international level. |

| The objective of the DBI is to up-grade the knowledge and skills of the business community through imparting short as well as long term training courses and providing a variety of services, so that the business community can face the challenges of a free market economy into sustainable economic success.

DBI provides its services through a wide range of professional methods of delivery:
- 45 Short Training Courses (2 to 5 days)
- 2 Business English (Intensive English) Courses of one month duration
- 2 Special Training in co-operation with the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), Rotterdam, The Netherlands; UN-ITC World Trade Net Programme, Geneva, Switzerland
- 2 Certificate courses (with a duration of 3 months)
- 5 Tailored Contract Training (Customised) Course
- 2 Information Technology (IT) related Training Courses
- 1 Executive MBA Programme (1 Year duration)
- Training Consultancy Services (Training Needs Assessments (TNA), Preparation of Business Plan, Coaching for International Fair Participation as well as other Counselling activities)
- Support Services (Training / Multipurpose(Conference) Room Rental Service, Temporary Office Support Services for Short Term Expatriate Consultants, Job Placement Service)
